We are currently fundraising for Georgia's Assistance Dog
We Need Your Help!!!!
Our daughter is a child with a disability. Georgia suffers from Cerebral Palsy, spastic quadriplegia, cortical vision impairment (legally blind) and autism. As a result of a seizure, Georgia suffered a brain hemorrhage at the age of 10 weeks, which almost claimed her life.
We are currently fundraising to have an assistance dog trained and placed with her. As a family, we feel it is important to identify our daughter’s strengths and create opportunities to assist in developing this, further enhancing her self-confidence and promoting her independence.
We believe that nurturing a forever friendship between Georgia and an Assistance Dog will help her with her mobility, sensory stimulation, coping skills, reduction in self harm, improvement of communication ability and interaction with her fellow peers. Further to this we strongly believe that a special friend in life will promote her self-confidence and independence.
